“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

-Calvin Coolidge

Greetings from our president . . .

Welcome to the homepage of the Iota Sigma Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta at Indiana State University.

I am proud to serve as president of a chapter that is still placing its roots on the Indiana State campus. Since our return to the university in 2011, FIJI has become one of the most respected Greek organizations by the administration, faculty, and our fellow students.

Members within our chapter work tirelessly to exemplify our values of Friendship, Knowledge, Service, Morality, and Excellence. We are a fraternity within which brothers build lifelong friendships, embodying our motto of “Not for College Days Alone”. Our brothers are extremely active on campus, holding positions in areas such as New Student Orientation, Residential Life, and Student Government Association.

We take great pride in the areas of scholarship and service. Our 3.15 cumulative GPA places us 2nd amongst 14 fraternities on campus. We are also proud to say that we have accumulated over 2400 hours of community service since our recolonization in 2011, and in Fall of 2012 we raised $2600 for suicide prevention at our annual “Out of the Darkness Walk”.

We thank you for visiting and hope you enjoy our website!
